March 5, 2003 "Reminiscing":
I can recall
when I first saw Polo at 6 weeks old. I was visting my dear friend, Jean Reeves,
with the intention of picking out a female pup. The girls were very nice but
there was something about a big male that kept catching my eye as I watched the
puppies play. This pup was ignoring me completely and was in his own little
world - digging a hole to China in a child's sandbox. Every once in awhile, he'd
strut off to find something else to amuse himself with. I just loved the way he
carried himself, his thick white coat, and his jet black pigment. So, I took
him! Another boy, just what I needed! <giggle> Since then, Polo has become
my second very special "once in a lifetime" guy. We are truly a team. What do I
love most about him? His big dark eys, his velvety muzzle, and his mushy
hugs.
